gazelle budgeting

Who else has been addicted to the olympics this year? I sure have.. but on Wednesday nights we pull ourselves away for our "Financial Peace University" class. This is our third week and although not much is really new (because I've been a fan of Dave Ramsey for a few years) it is so encouraging to actually put these good principles in use! We did a budget last Friday and I think this is the first one we have actually kept! It only goes through this Sunday but we gave ourselves each some blow money.. and I am actually saving my blow money for something bigger I will probably buy in a few weeks. This is big for me because I like to spend money spontaneously.. too often. Now we will actually be able to put a good chunk of our paychecks into savings instead of blowing it on.. who knows.. some spontaneous junk. Thanks Dave! (and John for signing us up for the class!)

I am so glad you blogged. Emma is growing up so fast. I feel like I haven't seen you guys in forever. Great job on the budget class and the workouts. I would look on craigslist for a double jogger. I just got a double umbrella stroller(because I have no room in the car for anything bigger)off craigslist for only $35. In the store is was like $150.

We have been listening to him for a while and just finished reading his book together :) we are loving it! We have always been ok on a budget, but now we have a little more discipline and new perspective. We are crazy cause we can't wait to start paying on our student loans once Adam graduates, we will be debt 3 in 3 years if we are gazelle intense too! We have no other debt right now so we are excited to get rid of Adam's 6 figure student loans so quickly! I could go on and on :) we need to talk! I am so excited that you are doing this. Everyone should be on Dave's band wagon :)
